The Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors’ Self-Reliant Fund (SVANidhi) scheme was launched in June 2020 as a micro-credit facility. The purpose of this scheme is to compensate for the loss due to the Kovid-19 epidemic.
For this we have to empower the street vendors.

Under this scheme, street vendors are given a guarantee-free loan of Rs 10,000 for one year. After paying off the first loan taken to increase the work, loans of Rs 20,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively are given under the scheme in the second and third time. In July last year, the government had informed that loans worth Rs 3,592 crore have been disbursed under this scheme. The special thing is that 12 lakh street vendors have repaid their first loan.
