Video editing has evolved from just trimming and adding music. Today, it's about how creatively you can present your content — and photo-to-video transitions are at the heart of that creativity. Whether you’re editing a travel vlog, a birthday montage, or a cinematic Instagram reel, Alight Motion gives you the tools to make your photo slides truly dynamic.

In this post, we’ll walk through everything you need to know — from importing photos to applying transitions, effects, music, and exporting in HD — all using Alight Motion.

So today we are going to learn how to edit videos from the machine. Today we are going to learn how to edit videos online in a new video like the one you have seen in the beginning. We are going to learn how to edit videos in a very simple language. Friends, the materials that will be needed for the video are like bitmark shake effect, all material, zip file, photo, PNG, all material, you have to input the link of bitmark effect in the zip below. From them, you have to input the link of all material in the machine and then download the zip file with the link of all material and open it. In this way, first you have to take all the materials in your gallery. After taking the materials etc., now what do you have to do now? Now the rest of the work is to edit. Now for editing, I have told you the step by step process below. You have to edit this video according to that step by step process. Okay, now the first thing you have to do is open your beat mark project. Okay, now your step one starts.

Why Use Photo to Video Transitions?

Photo slideshows used to be boring. Not anymore. Using smooth transitions:

  • Keeps the viewer engaged

  • Adds professionalism to basic content

  • Helps express emotions in storytelling

  • Makes your video ready for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Reels

A well-edited 30-second transition-based video can sometimes outperform a full-length vlog!

Tools Required

Before we begin, make sure:

  • You’ve downloaded the latest version of Alight Motion (free or Pro)

  • All photos are high-resolution (1280x720 minimum)

  • You have music ready (optional, but highly recommended)

Step-by-Step: Creating Smooth Photo Transitions

Step 1: Start a New Project

  • Open Alight Motion → Tap "+" → Choose Resolution (1280x720 or 1920x1080)

  • Frame rate: 30 FPS for smoother visuals

  • Name your project: "Photo Transition Reel"

Step 2: Import Photos

  • Tap "Media" and select your photos in the order you want

  • Each photo will be added as a separate layer

  • Adjust the duration of each photo (2–3 seconds per photo works best)

Step 3: Apply Basic Fade Transitions

  • Select the first photo → Tap "Effects" → Add "Fade In"

  • Repeat for next photo but add "Fade Out" instead

  • This creates a simple dissolve effect between photos

But we’re not stopping there…

STAPE 1

Now what do you have to do? First of all, you have to open your Bitmap project. Then you will see a total of four groups there. First, you have to go to each group and put your photo there. Now, if the first photo is yours, click on that first photo. Then go to the Edit group and go to the very beginning. You will see a plus button at the bottom. Click on it and go to Media. From there, you can take your photo. If you want to take any of your photos, then you have to come back to the end of the photo and if there is a space below the right side of the photo, click on that space and take the photo completely down. Then you have to click on the photo again. Then there is an option called Amol and Transfer. You have to go there. Then click on the number three icon at the top and make the photo a little smaller. Then click on the number one icon and from there you can adjust the photo and make it equal according to your calculation. In this way, first put the photo in the first group. In the same way, the rest of your photos are the same. For the next three groups that are left, you should put your photos in all three groups in the way I explained to you. Now let's see step two.

BEAT MARK PROJECT

STAPE 2

Now you have to come to the very beginning, then you have to go to the media by clicking on the big plus button given below, from there you have to take any photo of yourself, then zoom in on the photo, then move it a little to the right side, and then wait for fifteen seconds, then drag the layer of that photo until it is ok, and the restangle at the bottom of that photo is your tenth color, you have to take that photo on it, then you will see bitmarks below, then there is a group in the middle, click on that group, go to the media, sorry, come to the edit group, then come to the beginning, there you will be given a black cream photo below, click on it, and from there you have to go to the color and feel option, and from there you have to take any photo of yourself, and you have to take a photo in such a way that there is space above and below the photo, you have to select one of your photos, okay, then as many bitmarks as there are bitmarks below, you put your photos like beat marks, then I I will quickly attach all these photos. You should also attach all the photos in the same way as I told you step by step. And then we will see step three.

Step 4: Use Keyframes for Dynamic Movement

Want your photos to feel alive? Use keyframe motion:

  1. Select a photo

  2. Tap the "Transform" tool

  3. Go to the start of the photo → Zoom 90%

  4. Add a keyframe

  5. Move to the end → Zoom 100%

  6. Add another keyframe

Result: Your photo slowly zooms in like a video.

Combine with Pan:

  • Start at top left corner

  • End at center or bottom right

  • This creates a Ken Burns effect (cinematic slideshow movement)

🎚 Step 5: Add Easing for Smoother Transitions

Easing controls how motion starts and stops. Without easing, your transitions look robotic.

  • Tap between keyframes → Choose “Easing”

  • Select "Ease In-Out" for smooth acceleration and deceleration

  • For bouncy effects, try "Elastic Out"

Pro Tip: Use custom graph easing to match motion with music beats.

STAPE 3

Now what do you do now to go back and forth in your fifteen second meeting, first go to the beginning of the video, then there is a big plus button at the bottom and click on it and go to media and then to the folder of the file you want to serialize, then stop and go forward, if you find a video in twenty-nine seconds, you have to take it, after the overall video, cut the extra part of that video by giving a fifteen second beat measurement, then go to blending and coffee city, go to lighting and you have to put it in the screen. Friends, now you have to come forward, now you have a beat mark in your fifteen seconds, then from there you have to take the three second overlay video that I have made for you in its file, then you also have to go to blending and officer and put it in the screen, so you have to do everything in the same way, now I have done everything quickly and you have to do it too, okay, after that what do you do, you have to come back forward, your bit mark etc. are all yours, now what are the next videos So you can apply them one by one and apply the overlay video just like I have made an oral video for you. And you can do it in the same way as you would do it on the screen. You can do all this work quickly and quickly. After doing all the work quickly, now you have done all your work. Now what should you do after that? You should go back to the very beginning of your video. Now you need to paste the effect on all the photos. What should you do for that? Now we will see the steps above.

SHAKE EFFECT PROJECT

STAPE 4

So what do you do now? Open your effect project, then click on the first photo there, then open your bitmap project and go straight ahead. Next, you will see two bit paths there, and if it is the next photo, click on that photo, go to Effects, click on three loads and paste the effect. After pasting the effect, you will open your project here, then copy the effect on the second photo and the other photo in the same way. Then you will open your bitmap project again, and then come to the display and paste the effect on the first photo, then drop one photo, then paste the next photo here. You will leave one code and paste one photo here until the end. In the same way, you will leave one photo and do it one by one. Then you will come back to your effect project and copy the effect on the third photo. Then if you have one photo left, you will paste the effect on each of the remaining photos. Okay, you can do that in the same way. After that, you should copy the last photo on the agricultural project that has the Aarti effect. Then, you should go back to your Beatmar project and go down to whatever photo you had placed above the Aare style and paste that effect on it.

Step 6: Add Overlay Effects

To boost visual appeal, try:

  • Light leaks (add dreamy glow)

  • Particles (for festival or birthday reels)

  • Glow and blur on key highlights

  • Motion blur when zooming or rotating photos

Combine these effects in layers and experiment with blending modes (e.g., "Screen" or "Overlay").

Step 7: Add Background Music

Good transitions need music! Select a royalty-free track (avoid copyright claims).

  • Tap "Audio" → Import music from device

  • Cut and trim to match length of video

  • Use beat markers (tap the beat) to sync transitions

Sync tip: Change photo on every beat for fast-paced music; every second or bar for slow songs.

Step 8: Add Cinematic Color Grading (Optional)

Want that pro look? Add color grading:

  • Use the “Color & Light” menu

  • Adjust brightness, contrast, warmth

  • Try LUT presets if available

You can apply the same effect to all photos using grouping.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Using low-res images (causes pixelation)

  • Overusing effects (keep it clean)

  • Ignoring easing (makes motion unnatural)

  • Too many transitions (pick 2–3 styles and repeat)

  • No audio sync (music must feel "connected")

Final Step: Export Settings

  • Tap “Export”

  • Format: MP4

  • Resolution: 1080p (if photos are high quality)

  • Bitrate: High

  • Frame Rate: 30 FPS

  • Enable “Motion Blur” if used in the project

Export and preview your video. If you notice lag or blur, reduce effects or use 720p resolution.
